Camino Wandering is a deeply emotional novel of women’s fiction. If you like relatable heroines, personal growth, and triumph over adversity, then you’ll adore Tara Marlow’s light in the dark.
Loved walking the Camino with these great characters! I felt like I was right there in Spain experiencing the pilgrimage, people watching, grabbing gear, overcoming the obstacles on the path, and rounding each corner to reveal another incomparable sight of the Camino de Santiago. The characters are well developed and very relatable with their own sets of flaws and strengths; they could easily fit in my friend group or family. Reflecting back of the book, I remember several scenes with the characters battling the elements, themselves, or each other that still make me smile. Gotta love a story about women pushing themselves out of their comfort zones to do something fully engaging, like walking the Camino. Highly recommend!
Some wonderful women opening their lives to one another, and loving each other through to their new beginnings. Author Tara Marlow knows how to weave--threads of different textures and colors into an inclusive whole. I journeyed along with them, and now I wait for my new beginning.
I've never walked the Camino but this book REALLY inspired me! The descriptions of the beautiful sites coupled with the building of characters and how each of them relate to each other, and their emotional growth as individuals absolutely transported me. This isn't just a book, it's a journey. I really did laugh and cry throughout. I will be following this author - can't wait to see what she publishes next!
